In addition to these specific skill areas, every workshop teaches improvisation. Change is constant in today’s businesses world, and managers and employees use the ability to improvise new solutions all the time. Until now, nobody has helped people look at how they improvise, or given them specific tools and exercises to improvise better.

We offer 2- to 4-hour workshops as well as structured multi-day workshop programs. Each uses improvisation games and other proven techniques of improvisational theatre to teach communication, creativity and other specific skills that are valuable to every employee. The experiential format allows individuals to discover new behaviors, and to practice them in a safe, totally creative and fun environment. Debriefing and reinforcement insure that the group’s shared learning easily translates to success back in the workplace.

What does a Workshop look like?

Our clients call IJ workshops “a Ropes Course for the Mind.” In every workshop we do an introduction to set expectations and share participant and facilitator information. We then warm up the group in a way that raises enthusiasm and minimizes the personal challenge of joining in the games. Workshops are broken down into segments of games that focus on different elements of the workshop topic. Activities are fast-paced, and attendees are constantly energized and involved in different games that require both physical and mental activity. After each game, participants and ImprovJacksonville facilitators debrief the activities and relate them to workplace needs and experiences. We also suggest reinforcement activities to continue learning after the workshop.

 II.           Keynote Presentations and MC Services

We offer shows that are funny and unique because our improv comedy is based on audience suggestions. Shows can involve only improv or can be customized with sketch and stand-up comedy. Our humor is never blue, and groups from families to corporate executives love to laugh at improv comedy.

We also offer Keynote Speaker and Master of Ceremonies (MC) services. Speakers cover a wide range of motivational, practical and humorous topics.
